My Favourite Winter Lip Colours

Through out the year I tend to stick to nude colours but in the winter I add in a few darker colours from time to time.

I don't wear 'Revlon Black Cherry' often as it is a very dark colour but it is one of my favourites. It is a deep plum colour and is perfect for the Autumn and Winter months.

Every one needs a red in their favourites and mine at the moment is 'Barry M LPS1'. This is more of a pinky red so I use it with my 'Maybelline Pleasure Me Red'.

'MAC Velvet Teddy' will always be a favourite of mine. It is a darker nude so it is perfect for the colder months.

Lastly if I'm not in the mood to wear a lipstick I usually wear 'Tanya Burr Lipgloss - Macaroon' to give my lips some colour.

Skincare Routine - Updated

The last time I updated you on my skincare routine was nearly 2 years ago and it has changed quit a bit since then. My skin is not as oily any more and I have dry patches in some places but I think thats has something to do with the weather. So I thought I would update you on what I use now.

To remove my makeup I use 'Skin Therapy Normal & Combination face wipes. I know you shouldn't use face wipes but I find it the easiest way to remove my eye makeup as anything else usually makes my eyes sting.
To remove the remainder of my makeup I use 'Garnier Micellar Water'. I love this as it dry out my skin.
To cleanse my skin I use 'Soap & Glory The UltiMelt Deep Purifying hot cloth cleanser'. I have only recently started to use this but it has immediately become a favourite of mine.
The last thing I do is moisturise using 'Soap & Glory For Daily Youth 6in1 SuperBoost Moisture lotion'.

Chunky Glitter Christmas nails

On my nails today I have 'Tanya Burr nail polish in Carnival night. If it was any other time of the year I would not wear chunky glitter, but I feel like when its Christmas you wear more glittery things.

My Christmas Decorations

I finally have my Christmas decorations up and it is making me feel so much more festive.

This is my mini Christmas tree that sits on my drawers. I have copper baubles from Sainsbury's and lights from Primark on it.

Above my drawers I made this Christmas bunting out of wrapping paper and twine.

And finally by my bed I have these wall white fairy lights from Wilkonsons and a diy Merry Christmas garland that I made.

Melted Snowmen & Polar Bears

Today I decided to make some Christmas themed treats. So I have decided to share them with you. There will hopefully be another Christmas treats post next week as there are more things that I want to try.

Melted snowman biscuits

You will need:

-rich tea biscuits

-icing sugar and water

-marshmallows

-writing icing

Polar Bear Oreos

You will need:

-Oreos

-White chocolate (melted)

    -mini marshmallows (for the ears)

    -chocolate chips (the nose)

    -writing icing

A quick update

I didn't want to miss a day in blogmas so I thought I would just update you on what's going on. Sorry this isn't a Christmas themed post but I am not at home at the moment and I had planned on showing you my Christmas decorations as I have finally got them up but I didn't get chance to take pictures before I left. Only 10 Days till Christmas

I cannot believe how quick December has gone. I have nearly finished my Christmas shopping and then all I have to do is wrap the presents. How has this year gone by so quickly, so much has happened some good some bad. Overall I think it has been a good year and it's not long till Christmas and New Year so more good things can still happen.

What was in my Beauty Advent Calender

This was my first year getting a beauty advent calender. I saw Tanya Burr's one in Superdrug for £15 so I had to pick it up. I have looked forward to opening it ever morning for the past 12 days.

Christmas Snow Nails

I always go for a white nail colour but when it comes to Christmas I feel like you need to mix it up a bit. Even though these nails aren't out of my comfort zone I feel like they remind me of snow because of the glitter top coat which I don't usually go for.

I used Sinful Colors 'Snow me White' and a 17 Glitter top coat. Later in the month I will hopefully be posting another Christmas nail post which will definitely go out of my comfort zone.

My Favourite Christmas Candles

Today's blogmas post was meant to be 'My Christmas Decorations' but I still haven't had the time to put them up. So this post is a bit last minute as it was meant to go up at a later date.
I don't have many candles as I have a wax tart burner, so I have picked out a few of my favourite scents.

My Favourite things about the lead up to Christmas

1. I love watching everyone's Vlogmas videos, They are filled with Christmas things which gets me in the Christmas spirit.
2. All the excitement and the build up of it.
3. I actually enjoy Christmas shopping, but I know there are some that dread the thought of it.
4. I have not yet decorated my room yet which is sad but I should be tomorrow so I am looking forward to that.
5. Opening my advent calender. This is the first year I have a beauty advent calender and I look forward to opening it every day.
6. Christmas Songs never get old for me I have them on repeat everyday throughout December and maybe November as well.
7. I prefer the cold weather because it means I can layer my clothing and wrap up warm.
8. I usually don't re-watch films but when it comes to Christmas I can watch My Favourite Christmas Movies over and over again.

My Winter Essentials

Through out winter my essentials consist of things that can keep me warm and products that keep my skin moisturised. I wear jumpers and scarves everyday because they great for layering and keeping you warm. I wear beanies all throughout the year but they definitely become an essential at this time of the year because they keep my head warm.
Throughout this season my hands, face and lips become quite dry, so moisturiser and lip balm is an important essential of mine.
Now on to the last essential which isn't as important as the rest, but I tend to light candles more in the colder months than the rest.

Practical gifts for Bloggers

I have picked out a few very useful gifts that you can give to someone that you know who has a blog. Maybe you could give more than one together or just on their own.

• Notebooks- These are always useful for writing ideas down and planning them. I have gone through so many notebooks since I started my blog
• Pens- My pens always run out in the middle of planning a post so it is quite useful if I have some spares.
• Lighting equipment- When your trying to take photos in England you don't get that much time in the day because the sun starts to go down at about 4pm.
• Memory cards- Since getting my camera I have already run out of space on one memory card so they are always useful to have.

What's in my Makeup Bag ~ Winter Edition

I have recently started to use a makeup bag again as I used to keep it all in my drawers. This is everything that is in my makeup bag at the moment but it will probably change when it gets nearer to Christmas.
For my face I use LOreal Paris True Match Foundation in rose ivory, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in fair and Collection Contour Kit.
Moving on to eyes I use Makeup Revolution Salvation palette Iconic Pro 1 to create a neutral eye and then to add a bit of shimmer for the festive season I use Tanya Burr Eye Shimmer pot in Creme Brulee. I always create a winged liner using L'Oréal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim Intense which will never come out of my makeup bag as it is seriously the best liner I have used. Lastly for mascara I use a mini sample of LE VOLUME ULTRA-NOIR DE CHANEL Mascara.
For brows I use Makeup Revolution Brow Dual Arch & Shape and Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara.
And lastly for lips I haven't really been wearing lipstick in the day so to give my lips a bit of colour I use Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Macaroon.

Throughout the Christmas season the only movies I really watch are Christmas ones. So I thought I would list my top 5 favourite movies.

Christmas Wishlist 2015

This year my Christmas Wishlist is quite small but it is filled with luxury products that I wouldn't buy my self.

2. Charlotte Tilbury luxury palette the dolce vita
3. Charlotte Tilbury filmstar bronze and glow
4. Urban Decay Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette

November Favourites

I'm sorry that there wasn't an October Favourites last month but I have been so busy. So I have included some of last months favourites seeing as I am still loving them.

• Soap Glory The Righteous Butter- I like to use this at least once a week to moisturise my skin when it is feeling dryer than usual.
• Zoella Sweet Mint Lip Balm- I can never go without lip balm and this one is perfect because it gives your lips a peach sheen and the mint has a nice cooling sensation to the lips.
• Zoella Wonder Hand Moisturising Hand Cream- My hands always get quite dry throughout Autumn/Winter so I like to carry a hand moisturiser in my handbag and this is the one I am loving at the moment.
• Yankee Candle Apple Crumble- This is definitely my go to candle scent throughout autumn. The scent reminds me of an apple crumble just as it comes out the oven.
• Beanies- I always wear beanies but throughout Autumn and Winter they are very useful in keeping my head warm.
• Made in the A.M album. I have had One Directions new album on repeat this month and it is definitely one of their best. My favourite songs on the album have to be 'Olivia, History, Temporary Fix and A.M'

25 days of Blogmas

This year I have decided to do Blogmas. There will be a new post up everyday up until Christmas, which I am very excited for. My Blog has definitely suffered since I have been working quite a lot recently, even though I have had quite a few posts planned, when it comes to taking pictures I just haven't had the time. The sun has gone by the time I am back from work so the photos just don't come out how I want them to. But recently I have had a little bit of time off and I have been non-stop planning blog posts for blogmas so you can expect a lot of Christmas themed posts to come for the next 25 days. Check back everyday for a new post, they should go up between 7pm-8pm and I have scheduled as many as I can.

My first time going abroard

I recently travelled to Turkey for a family holiday. I was very anxious the week before as it was my first time flying. I wrote lists of everything I was taking in my hand luggage and luggage to make sure I did not leave anything at home but even then I forgot my false lashes, luckily they were not an essential.
