Working in retail

The other day I was at work thinking about what my next blog post could be when a customer said something that I hear everyday and it gave the idea to write about problems working in retail. I have been in retail for just over a year so I feel like I have seen and heard it all. Don't worry its not as bad as it sounds. But I thought I would share with you some of my experiences.

  • When you're working in the fitting room and its the end of your shift and the day and there are still customers in there chatting away and all you want to do is shut the fitting rooms and go home.
  • When a label won't scan at the till and a customer says "it must be free then" and you laugh like you've never that one before.
  • When your the shortest one there and you get put on the till furthest away from the queue
  • When a customer puts the clothes on the hangers but they are all inside out.
  • When a lady tells you it is quite hot in the store and you tell them your cold and they say it must be because they going through the menopause. TMI!! I understand everyone goes through it but I didn't need to know.
  • When you've only got a couple of minutes left of your shift and a customer comes to your till with baskets full of things.
This was a different kind of post for me to write but I hope you enjoyed my little rant and I am sure there are more things that I haven't mentioned. If you have any you'd like to share I'd love to read them in the comments.

Autumn Makeup Tutorial: Neutral eyes and a Bold dark lip
I hope you enjoy this tutorial. I thought I would talk you through this makeup as I didn't in the last one. It feels weird talking to a camera so I'm a little awkward, But the more I do it the more I will get used to it.

September Favourites

It feels like September has gone by so quickly, it's already October and not long until Christmas which is my favourite time of year just before Autumn. I have been loving only a couple of things this month.

  • This month I have been wearing a lot of plaid. I feel like autumn is the right time for it to be worn even though I wear it all year, Autumn is the season I wear it the most.
  • I love Nutella but I think Duo Penotti Caramel & Chocolate spread could be my new favourite.
  • As the weather is getting cold I have been lighting candles often as they create a cozy atmosphere in the room.
  • I love fairy lights all year round but in the colder months I turn them on and light some candles it makes the room feel warmer than it actually is.

I would love to know what you have been loving in September

August Favourites

I have decided that I will try to write a monthly favourites every month and I am going to switch it up every month one month could be just make up or skincare and another month it could be  all randomly mixed.

  • The  hair product I have been loving this month is the Toni&Guy 'Sea salt Texturising Spray' as I love the messy waves. I use it just after curling my hair and then I like to scrunch up my curls with my hands to give a more undone look.
  • I have been searching for months for a foundation that works for me and I think I have found it. The L'oreal true match foundation sits perfectly on my skin, it covers any imperfections I might have and it can last throughout the day.
  • I always struggle with finding the right bronzer for my fair skin but 'Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze' is perfect as it isn't to dark or orange. Also it is quite large so it will last for a while.
  • Now lets talk all things Zoella I love all of her products but this month there have been a couple I have been reaching towards the most. One of them is Kissy Missy Lip balm as you can apply it very sheer or if you are feeling a bit more brave you can apply it to get the full pigmentation of the barbie pink. I think it is a gorgeous colour that will suit all skin tones.
  •  The other one is Zoella Let's Spritz Fragranced Body Mist. I seriously love the scent of this, it is perfect for anyone that prefers fruity over floral
Tell me what you have been loving this month.
